Ask Donnie is a construction estimator, building-code assistant and project back office for the trades. Ask about codes, materials and methods and get answers with code citations scoped to your jurisdiction. Scan or import a plan and Ask Donnie reads the scope and returns a priced estimate.

Ask about codes, materials or methods. Answers cite the building-code edition adopted where you're working, based on the ZIP code you set.
Plan to priced estimate
Scan blueprints with the camera, choose a photo or import a PDF, pick the trade and tap Estimate. Reading a plan uses a few cents from your wallet.
Meeting recording and summaries
Record a meeting and get a transcript with speaker labels and a summary of decisions and action items, filed to the right project.
Run the job
Handle RFIs, change orders, submittals, daily logs, punch lists, a CPM schedule, cost control and closeout. Level competing bids side by side.
Estimates, invoices and branding
Create and track estimates and invoices from draft to sent to paid, and share them as PDF or Excel with your company name, colors and logo.

Ask a question
On the Ask tab, type in Ask about codes, materials, estimates. Set your ZIP code under Jurisdiction so citations match your local code.
Drop a plan
On the Plans tab, tap Scan a plan, Choose a photo or Import a PDF or image, pick the trade, then tap Estimate.
Review the estimate
See how Ask Donnie read the plan, then tap View estimate & documents to open the priced estimate.
Record a meeting
On the Meetings tab, tap Record, then Start recording. Tap Stop & transcribe when you're done.

Privacy and support
Questions, plans and documents you submit are stored with your account and processed by AI providers including Anthropic; meeting audio is transcribed on Ask Donnie's own servers, and there is no ad tracking.

How much does Ask Donnie cost?
It's free to start. Memberships are Foreman at $34.99 a month, Pro at $149.99 a month and Business at $249.99 a month. AI usage comes from a prepaid wallet you can top up in the app.
What does a membership add?
Membership unlocks watermark-free white-label documents, higher limits and a monthly wallet allowance. Foreman includes 5 branded estimates a month; Pro and Business are unlimited.
Do I need an account?
Yes. You sign in with Apple. Your account holds your projects, documents, wallet and subscription, and you can delete it in the app under Account.
What happens to my plans and recordings?
Questions and plans you submit are processed by AI providers, including Anthropic, to generate answers and estimates, and are not used to train third-party models. Meeting audio is transcribed on Ask Donnie's own servers with no third-party speech service. Ask Donnie does not sell your data or track you across apps.
Can I rely on the answers for permits?
Ask Donnie is AI assistance to verify. Always confirm critical details with your local building department (AHJ) and a licensed professional before you build.
