LensWright is a calculator for opticians, lab techs and ABO students. You enter the Rx once and every calculator prefills from it. Each result shows its formula so you can check the work.

Transposition, spherical equivalent and vertex compensation are free and unlimited.
Vertex compensation per meridian
Each principal meridian is compensated separately and the prescription is re-formed, so the cylinder comes out right, not just the sphere.
Prism calculators
Prentice's rule, vertical imbalance with a slab-off indicator, and compound prism resultant and direction.
Lens calculators
Oblique meridian power, sagitta with centre and edge thickness, minimum blank size, and tilt and wrap using Martin's formula.
Saved Rx and lab-order PDF
File a prescription with its calculations and export the job as a lab order through the share sheet.
Prescriptions stay on the device
No account, no network, no tracking. Patient details you type stay on your iPhone.
How it works
A quick walkthrough of the main job, using the app's own screens.
Enter the Rx
On the Rx tab, enter the right eye (OD) and left eye (OS), the add and the PD. The Reads section shows the spherical equivalent and near Rx.
Open a calculator
On the Calculators tab, pick one such as Vertex Compensation or Prentice's Rule. It loads the Rx from the Rx tab.
Check the formula
Read the result card, which shows the formula used, so you can verify the numbers.
File and export
Tap File this Rx to keep it in Saved, or Export Lab Order to send a PDF.

Where is patient data stored?
Only on your iPhone. LensWright has no networking code, no account and no cloud sync.
Can I rely on it for dispensing?
It is a reference calculator. Always verify results before ordering or dispensing.
I bought it on another device. How do I restore it?
Tap Restore Purchases in Settings while signed in with the same Apple ID.
