What it does
TandemIQ is for drivers standing at a scale with a heavy axle group and a line behind them. You type the steer, drive and trailer weights off the ticket, and it checks them against the federal limits. If you are over, it tells you which way to slide the trailer tandems, how many holes, and what every axle will weigh afterwards.

Federal legality check
Checks steer, drive, trailer and gross against 12,000, 34,000, 34,000 and 80,000 lb and shows how many pounds over or under each group is. Free, always.
Tandem slide solve
Shows the move in plain words, such as "Move tandems 3 holes FORWARD", with an arrow and the weight each axle will carry after the move. Free, always.
Says when sliding cannot fix it
If you are over gross, the app shows "CANNOT BE LEGALIZED BY SLIDING" and explains why, instead of a hole count that makes no sense.
Fifth wheel and bridge formula
Scale House adds a fifth-wheel slide for an overweight steer and a Federal Bridge Formula check on your outer axle spread.
Saved, calibrated trailers
Scale House lets you save each trailer with its own pounds-per-hole, and work that number out from a real before-and-after scale ticket.
Scale ticket log
Scale House keeps each weighing in History, with a photo of the printed ticket attached if you want one.
How it works
A quick walkthrough of the main job, using the app's own screens.
Enter the scale ticket
On the Scale tab, type the Steer, Drive and Trailer weights. Leave Gross blank and the app uses the sum of the three groups.
Read the verdict
The banner turns green with LEGAL, or red with OVERWEIGHT or OVER GROSS and the pounds over for each group.
Solve the slide
Tap Solve the slide, or open the Slide tab, to see which way to move the tandems, how many holes, and the weights after the move.
Re-weigh
Slide, then weigh again. The answer is an estimate, and the app says so on every result.

Questions
How much does TandemIQ cost?
The download is free, and the legality check and tandem slide solve stay free. Scale House is a $4.99 one-time purchase that adds the fifth-wheel slide, the bridge formula check, saved trailer profiles, calibration and the scale ticket log. There is no subscription and no ads.
Does it work with no signal?
Yes. The app contains no networking code, so it works the same in airplane mode or a dead zone.
What data does it collect?
None. Your tickets and trailers are stored only on your iPhone, with no account, analytics or tracking. Purchases are handled by Apple.
Which limits does it use?
The federal limits in 23 U.S.C. §127. States and permits can set different ones, and you are responsible for the legality of your load.
I paid and the features are locked. What do I do?
Tap Restore Purchase in Settings while signed in to the Apple ID you bought with.
